Features: 2006 Congressional Art Contest
On April 24, 2006, Congressman Eric Cantor presented awards at Capitol One's West Creek Townhall Building in Richmond to high school students from the 7th District for their outstanding art work. This year there were 51 different pieces of art to be evaluated by the judges. This year's first-place winner was Alison Ferris from Culpeper High School with her work entitled "Daydreamer." Her artwork will be on display in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

Second Place -- Calli Ryan, Freeman High School (work entitled "Self Portrait")

Third Place -- Sara Melby, Hermitage High School (work entitled "Past, Present & Future Me")
