Cantor on End of the Democrat’s ‘100 Hours’
Abuse of Power, Weakening of Economy, Healthcare Hallmark of 100 Hours
WASHINGTON, DC - Chief Deputy Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA), issued the following statement today, in response to the end of the Democrats’ “100 Hours”:
“The 100 hours was not a productive time for America as evidenced by Pelosi exempting her hometown company, Starkist Tuna, from the minimum wage increase. Democrats also made the wrong alterations to a very popular and cost effective Medicare Part D program.
“I’m glad the ‘100 hours’ of bumper sticker promises are behind us. Now, we can get down to work for the American people.
“For the last two and a half weeks Democrats have made America less competitive, less free and less safe. House Republican values steer America in a direction that is more competitive and provides Americans with more free choice and more security.”
