Our office can arrange tours of the U.S. Capitol, the White House, and many other sights in Washington, DC for residents of the 7th Congressional District of Virginia.
Tickets are limited, so please be sure to place your request early, especially during the peak tourist season (March through September). Most tours can be requested eight to ten weeks in advance (White House tours are the exception). Call the Richmond, VA office for assistance at (804) 747-4073, and ask to speak with the tour coordinator. You may also email your request to firstname.lastname@example.org
An Important Note About White House Tours
Due to increased security, the White House requires that tours be arranged through the office of your member of Congress. Requests for tours should be submitted six months prior to the requested date of the tour. Tours will be scheduled by the White House approximately 2 weeks before the requested date. We will notify constituents on the status of their tour as soon as the White House notifies us. Tours are available from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., Tuesday through Saturday and all tours are self-guided. Your chance of receiving a tour is greatly increased if several possible dates are provided and the request is made 6 months in advance.
Please note that our office can only submit a request to the White House for your tour. We cannot guarantee a tour. All decisions about tour dates and times are made by the White House. They retain the right to accept or deny your tour as well as make last minute cancellations or time changes.
